Before any big trip or move packing can become one of the most challenging aspects. What should I bring? What is the weather like? Do I have enough room for my banjo? Crystal and I haven't packed our bags yet but we have been taking care of a different sort of inventory. We are both very close to our families and have made it a priority to take care of them and say a soft goodbye.
Crystal and I have found ourselves in 7 states since our last update. A.T. flew to Texas to take part in some trainings and help earn money for our travel of late while Crystal has spent most of her time helping her family in Iowa. Crystals grandma turned 86 this week and is moving into an elderly apartment complex. This is a real praise to God because we would not have found the freedom to move to Ecuador if she continued to live alone. After putting her house on the market it took less than a week to sell! Praise God. Moving is a lot of work and together with her family should finish the move before we head back to Arizona at the end of the month. Arizona will be a fast week seeing A.T.’s grandfather who he just reconnected with after 17 years apart. God has opened many doors of late and helped us receive peace in many matters.
We recently took a break from moving in Iowa to take a road trip to South Carolina to visit family and friends and prepare a good bye before we venture south to Quito. A.T.’s sister Dani and her family are preparing a celebration dinner for us with their community this Thursday. We will get to share about what God is doing in Ecuador and the future plans we have. At this elaborate dinner people are encouraged to support the mission rather than contribute food.
Apart from working, traveling, helping Grandma move, and sharing about Ecuador, we have also got to experience some great times with family.
We want you to know where we are in the contributions many have made to make it possible for us to move to Quito. Currently 21% of the support has been raised which leave us to raise only $1,745 in monthly support. We have also been blessed by many giving us one time gifts, which will help us get set up in Ecuador.
We want to thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this time! More to come soon.
